Most regular people couldn’t care less about UAPs, aliens, or any of it. There’s not much concrete evidence yet, and every time someone says "evidence is coming, tune in next Saturday!", it turns out to be nonsense.

When something is terrifying but easy to ignore, the mind just lets you ignore it. I am convinced of that now. I used to think people dismissing all of this were just being assholes, but what if they’re scared, scared for reasons that stack up fast:

• What does this mean for humanity?

• Are we alone?

• Where are they from?

• Do they believe in my God? Can I make them?

• Can they force me to do anything?

• What do they want?

That kind of existential weight could break someone. So instead, they take the easy way out: "You’re lying! You just want money!", because acknowledging it fully might send them into a mental spiral. I honestly thought the Skywalker footage looked like satellites. This can’t just be "we have lights in the sky." Anyone on Earth can look up and see lights. It has to be more. If not, they should save themselves the effort, because this won’t be awakening anyone.
