Matt Ford, host of The Good Trouble Show, recently made headlines by sharing a personal experience that unfolded after a conversation with high-level government officials regarding UFOs. What began as an inquiry into national security concerns quickly turned into a full-blown paranormal event, leading Ford to question whether a mass revelation of the UFO phenomenon could trigger similar experiences for millions.

Ford’s UFO journey began with a simple question: Are UFOs real? In a conversation with staffers of a powerful U.S. senator, the answer he received was unequivocal. These high-ranking officials confirmed that UFOs are indeed real, not of Chinese or Russian origin, and are considered a significant national security issue.

According to Ford, one statement from a staffer particularly stood out:

"Our entire life, we may never understand where all of this is from."

The gravity of this admission left him in shock. Hearing such confirmation from individuals with access to intelligence reports elevated the discussion from speculation to hard reality. In the days following this conversation, Ford’s world took a bizarre turn. Unexplainable paranormal events erupted in his home, resembling what researchers call the Hitchhiker Effect: a phenomenon where individuals who engage with the UFO subject report experiencing unexplained activity.

The first sign came in the form of a baby gate inexplicably toppling over in his kitchen:

"But a couple days later, we started having paranormal stuff happen in the house. And it started with a baby gate, getting pushed over in the kitchen. We woke up at 6 a.m. thinking someone was breaking into the house, and, we have this baby gate just leaned up against, the cabinet on the kitchen floor. And we looked at the security camera that we had in there, and it looked like somebody literally had just pushed the thing over with with their finger"

The Hitchhiker Effect has been widely discussed in Ufology, with cases suggesting that individuals who investigate or come into close contact with the phenomenon sometimes experience lingering paranormal effects. Ford, who had never encountered anything remotely supernatural before, suddenly found himself in the midst of inexplicable phenomena. His case aligns with numerous reports from former military personnel and researchers who have experienced similar effects after engaging with UFO-related events. The question Ford now poses is a chilling one:

If awareness alone can trigger such manifestations, what would happen if the President of the United States confirmed the existence of UFOs on live television?

Ford took this question to former Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, Chris Mellon. He speculated that if his own experience was triggered by newfound knowledge, a national or even global acknowledgment of UFO reality could potentially cause similar experiences on an unprecedented scale.
