All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO)

About

The All-domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) is an office within the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) that investigates unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) across various domains, such as air, sea, land, space, and even undersea. Established in 2022, the AARO's primary goal is to resolve UAP reports by analyzing data from military and other sources to enhance national security and aviation safety. The office was preceded by the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF), which operated from 2020 to 2021 within the Office of Naval Intelligence. AARO aims to continue and expand upon UAPTF's efforts by standardizing the collection and reporting of UAP sightings across the DoD's special use airspace, as well as anomalous, unidentified space, airborne, submerged, and transmedium objects.

AARO Releases Video of Unresolved 2023 UAP Case in the Middle East

According to AARO, the report came from a U.S. military Service and included eight minutes and fifteen seconds of video footage recorded using an infrared sensor. The footage shows what appears to be a thermal contrast — essentially, an area in the infrared field of view that stands out from the surrounding background, hinting at the possible presence of a physical object.Unfortunately, without supporting telemetry or multi-modal sensor readings (such as radar or optical tracking), we cannot determine whether the observed signature is a true physical object, a reflection, a thermal emission, or simply a sensor artifact.
